The Torrey Botanical Society supports botanical research and education with annual graduate student research awards ($2,500, $1,500, and $1,000), a training award for undergraduate or graduate students ($1,000), and the Andrew M. Greller Graduate Student Research Award for Conservation of Local Flora and Ecosystems ($1,000). Students who are members of the Society are eligible to apply. Applications are judged by the Societies' Grants and Awards committee.

NYC Wildflower Week connects New Yorkers to the nature in their own back yard with free cultural programs including children’s fairs, botanical walks, garden tours, planting opportunities, food events and more. Our events inspire and empower New Yorkers to cultivate a landscape that is sustainable, beautiful and ecologically sound.

Your donations help fund these free programs and materials including:

• native wildflower seeds for home gardeners
• supplies for children's activities
• NYC nature maps for participants
• website design and content management including a blog
